About Dr. Richlin

Steven Richlin, O.D, PC, Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, is a therapeutic optometrist with glaucoma certification who specializes in the treatment and management of eye diseases, specialty contact lenses, corneal refractive therapy, and comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care.

Dr. Richlin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Zoology from San Diego State University and his Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry.

With a strong passion for teaching, he regularly mentors fourth-year interns during their clinical rotations. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Richlin has received numerous honors, including:

  • Young Optometrist of the Year (Los Angeles County Optometric Association, 1988)
  • Albert Schweitzer Humanitarian Award (Sheba Medical Center, Israel, 1993)

He has served as a clinical investigator for several contact lens manufacturers, a Qualified Medical Examiner in Optometry for the State of California, and Chief of Optometry in Clinical Services at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
