About Dr. Esfahani

Ora Esfahani, O.D., is a glaucoma-certified therapeutic optometrist with extensive experience in primary eye care, ocular disease management, and specialty contact lens fittings for diverse patient populations. She is passionate about utilizing the most innovative treatment methods for patients with chronic conditions such as dry eye disease, keratoconus, and glaucoma.

Dr. Esfahani provides comprehensive care for both adult and pediatric patients, including preoperative and postoperative management for ocular surgeries, treatment of amblyopia (lazy eye), and management of binocular dysfunctions. Having worked alongside renowned ophthalmologists across multiple specialties, she brings a depth of knowledge and clinical expertise to the management of complex ocular conditions.

Her contributions to the field have earned her notable recognition, including the California Optometric Association's Young Optometrist of the Year 2025 — awarded to an outstanding optometrist who has demonstrated exceptional clinical excellence and leadership within the profession. Additionally, Dr. Ora was recognized as one of Beverly Hills Living Magazine's Forty Under 40 in 2024, which celebrates the most accomplished and influential young professionals shaping the Beverly Hills community.

Leadership & Professional Service

Dr. Esfahani is actively involved in the optometric community. She is a member of:

  • The American Optometric Association
  • The California Optometric Association
  • The Los Angeles County Optometric Society (LACOS)

She is the the current president of LACOS and has served on its board in various roles since 2016. In addition, she volunteers as a staff optometrist at the Ellis Eye Clinic at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, providing outpatient care to patients in need. She also mentors students through the SUNY Optometry Student Mentorship Program, helping guide future optometrists in their careers.

Education & Clinical Leadership

Dr. Esfahani earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in French Literature, from the University of California, San Diego. She completed her Doctor of Optometry at the State University of New York College of Optometry. Before joining Richlin Eye, she served as Director of Optometric Services at CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, where she led the Optometry Department across multiple clinical settings.
