About Dr. Limtiaco

Lisa Limtiaco, O.D., is a low vision optometrist specializing in the treatment and management of patients with visual impairment caused by conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinitis pigmentosa, and other genetic eye diseases. She has extensive experience providing customized low vision devices and prescriptions designed to maximize functional vision and restore greater independence in daily life.

Education & Clinical Research

Dr. Limtiaco earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis and her Doctor of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley, she received a Dean’s Award for her clinical research thesis.

She also assisted in the launch of The Suitcase Clinic, a respected volunteer student and community organization that provides free health services to underserved populations.

Community Outreach & Advanced Care

Dr. Limtiaco remains actively involved in community outreach through educational presentations on resources available to the visually impaired. She is also a member of a specialized team providing care for patients receiving the Implantable Miniature Telescope (IMT). This treatment has improved the quality of life for many individuals with advanced macular degeneration.
