About Dr. Lawenda
Ken Lawenda, OD, is a therapeutic optometrist who earned his Bachelor of Science and a Doctorate in Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry. He is the Chief of Optometry at Cedars Sinai Hospital and has been on staff for the past 25 years.
He has served on the Board of Trustees of the California Optometric Associate and is a past President of the COA. He was awarded the California Optometrist of the Year in 2007. He was appointed by Gov. Schwarzenneger to serve the Dept of Consumer Affairs on the Ca. State Board of Optometry. Dr. Lawenda helped the LA Free Clinic setup the Eye Care section at its inception. He was also selected by the 1984 Olympic Committee as an Optometrist to the Athletes as well as serving for the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver.
